Easy to talk to
After speaking to a friend about my negatively and always thinking the worse she recommended vicky. I contacted vicky and awaited her text to say she had a place for me. From the start vicky was very easy to talk to, throughout the sessions she made me realise I was able to redirect my negative thoughts and think in a different way which has helped me in my everyday life and future. Sometimes you need to put yourself first and when you feel strong you can help others. I’ve took alot out of our sessions feel able to vocalise my thoughts better. It is an ongoing process but I feel that vicky has helped me so much and would like to thank her so much.
Hugely positive experience
I came to Vicky with both depression and anxiety, and after only 5 weekly CBT sessions with her I saw a dramatic improvement to both. I was taught various coping strategies to help me when my anxiety would become severe, which when utilised often really helped to ground me again and allowed me to regain my composure. By the end of our time together I had accomplished all the goals that we had set out in my first session, and it was overall a hugely positive experience in my life. I can’t recommend Vicky enough for anyone with depression or anxiety, or even for those who just want to make a positive change in their life, and may need that extra push in the right direction.
My experience with therapy was quite frankly life changing. I was a nervous wreck, believed no one liked me and I was useless and a failure. I cannot express how firmly I believed these thoughts and the extent to which it was affecting my life and relationships. I could not even go to the shops or go out with my friends. But Vicky gave me the tools to prove these thoughts wrong and see life differently. I was a negative person and every little thing seemed huge but now I am able to see the positives in life and appreciate the little things. I also feel for confident for the future and I can handle anything. This is what I have found most rewarding. It did not take long for me to realise I can change my life. I had very very little hope before and just accepted this was my life forever and who I was. But I now know I am loved and I am totally equipped to deal with whatever life throws at me. I have more energy, I am now excited to live. It’s hard to put into words how much my life has changed and my gratitude to Vicky but I encourage anyone who needs help to go and seek it. If I can do it, you can too. Help is out there
I started a 6 week CBT therapy course with Vicky and was quite reluctant, on introduction of the course Vicky instantly made me feel at ease. I felt that I had a safe space to really get to understand my own thoughts and feelings. Vicky has really shown me that in fact I absolutely benefited from the CBT Sessions. It’s really helped me understand my own way of thinking, I definitely look at things with a different approach now. Thank you Vicky for being so understanding and just listening.
I reached my goal
I wanted to take this opportunity to say that today I have reached my goal of getting back in the NHS and to a job I loved. And this, I can confidently say was with Victoria’s help. Victoria recently worked with me when I was feeling low, and together we realised that amongst other issues, my job was getting me down and I had lost my confidence as I felt I wasn’t using my skills and had downgraded myself and lost my self belief. I told Victoria that I wasn’t confident to go for other jobs and with her help we worked to overcome this barrier and work on my confidence. Even after our coaching had stopped, Victoria still checked up on me, and supported me through my applications. And when I had the interview, I kept in mind the tools and support she had given me and it paid off.I cannot recommend Victoria enough, she has definitely helped me to see my worth and achieve my goal.
